Aluminum battery box designed specifically for the ETX680/ETX900/ETX1200 series of EarthX batteries. This battery box was engineered to be strong enough to withstand 30 G of force yet only weighs 7 ounces or 198 grams and will fit the ETX680, ETX900 or ETX1200 like a glove. This unique design allows for simple, easy installation with the dimensions: 6.5″ L x 3.1″ W x 6.6″H.

Note: If you purchased an ETX1200 manufactured prior to 12-1-2016, this battery box will not fit.

This battery box fit the new EXT- 900 lithium battery perfectly. It was very easy to install. I would recommend it to anyone installing a lithium battery in their plane.

Q: Do the terminal attachments need to be changed if converting from say a Powersafe Dry Cell to an EarthX (application would be on a PA-18)

The terminal measurements on both batteries are the same, so they should not have to change the terminals.

Q: Does the battery box come clear anodized or is it raw aluminum that requires a conversion coating?

It is raw aluminum.

Q: Is this battery box STCd for certified aircraft?

No these are intended for experimental applications.
